Azamara and PerryGolf partner together for an exceptional 13-night, 3-round or 6-round golf and sightseeing voyage through the British Isles with planned attendance at The 154th Open**. This cruise with fewer than 700 guests onboard the outstanding Azamara Quest will visit nine ports beginning in Dublin, Ireland and concluding in Edinburgh, Scotland. The itinerary is beautifully balanced with famous city experiences like Liverpool, Belfast, Glasgow and Dundee plus exceptional golf at world renowned and highly revered venues around the British Isles.

**PerryGolf is currently an authorised provider for The 153rd Open in 2025. The R&A has not yet confirmed access arrangements for The 154th Open (in 2026), but once this has been done we will update our website accordingly. In the interim we encourage all our guests to secure their preferred onboard ship accommodations.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Airfare and Transportation:
I plan to offer both airfare packages and transportation to and from the airport, depending on the number of travelers and preferred departure airport (SFO or SMF). Flight preferences and airline loyalties can vary significantly, so I’ll do my best to accommodate individual needs. I can also book flights on an individual basis and will have more details available as we move forward. Airline schedules are released 11-12 months ahead so I’ll send out additional information in the July/August 2025 timeframe.

Group Discount and Promotions:
Because we booked as a group, we benefit from Azamara’s Enhanced Group Pricing, which is currently better than the public promotions. That said, if you find a better promotion, Azamara and I will always match it to ensure you receive the best value.

Travel Insurance Options:

I recommend Allianz and Travel Guard as preferred travel insurance providers and am happy to provide personalized quotes based on your travel details.

Shore Excursions:
Azamara offers a variety of shore excursions and guided tours at each port of call. These are available for an additional fee and provide an excellent way to enhance your travel experience.

Ship Details:
We’ll be sailing aboard the Azamara Quest. You can view detailed deck plans, cabin information, and photos here: Azamara Quest: Deck Plan & Information

What is a typical Golf Day?

PerryGolf manages each guest’s golf equipment from start to finish. The equipment will be taken to the course in advance, loaded onto a golf cart (or be waiting with a caddie at certain venues) and be ready for each guest’s arrival.

Transfers from the ship are coordinated to ensure that each guest arrives at the golf course with ample time to warm up before play. A sandwich lunch is provided on the golf course, sometimes as a box lunch from the ship, or alternatively provided by the club. An open bar with snacks, soft drinks, beer or wine is always available during play, and the clubhouse bar operates similarly following play.

Following golf, guests are free to relax in the clubhouse to chat about their round and to experience the particular ambience before transferring back to the ship.

On one golf day during each cruise an informal competition will be held with prizes to be awarded in a ceremony taking place later onboard the ship.

What are the ticket prices for attending The Open on July 18 or 19, 2026

Ticket pricing for The Open in 2026 has not yet been released. The R&A (organizers of The Open) have significantly changed how ticket access is managed, so pricing from 2025 is not a reliable reference. We expect official details to be confirmed soon and will share them as soon as they are available.

  1. Can a non-golfing partner (e.g., a spouse on the cruise) get a ticket to The Open?  Yes. If one person in the cabin is registered for a PerryGolf package, their non-golfing partner will be eligible to receive a ticket to The Open.
  2. Can a cruise-only guest (not participating in the golf package) receive a ticket to The Open?  No. Unfortunately, access to The Open is only available to those with some level of participation in a PerryGolf package.

What is an appropriate tip for a caddie?

A standard tip is €30–€35 (or local currency equivalent) if the caddie provides adequate service. If the service is exceptional, tipping more is encouraged at your discretion.

  • Caddies must be paid in local currency immediately after the round.
  • The first round (Ireland) should be paid in Euros.
  • The remaining rounds (UK) should be paid in British Pounds.

**Note: Cruise Tips & Gratuities are Included in the Cruise Fare; However, Golf Caddie tips are not included in the Golf Package.

Can I ship my golf clubs ahead to my desitnation?
